2012 Workshop & Demo Dates
These 1 and 2 day courses are ideal for people wanting to learn about the Tellington TTouch Training Method for their own dogs or dogs in their care.
TTouch is a teaching method for animals that incorporates body work and ground exercises, where appropriate, to help improve co-ordination, balance and athletic ability, whilst deepening communication, understanding and respect between an animal and its owner or carer. TTouch helps increase levels of self confidence, self awareness and self control. With its roots in the Feldenkrais method of Awareness Through Movement, TTouch techniques gently guide the animal through non-habitual exercises that can alter existing habitual patterns. As posture affects behaviour, many owners and carers note that unwanted behaviours diminish as the animals posture improves. TTouch teaches the animal to act, rather than simply re-act. Areas which TTouch excels includes dislike of contact, nervousness, fear issues including noise phobias, hyperactivity and lack of balance.
All workshops listed below are taught by Toni Shelbourne, however some are organised by other people. For information or to book please contact the person listed for the workshop you are interested in.

The emphasis of these workshops is to give a hands-on, basic introduction to TTouch. The aim is to give the opportunity to practice with each other and with participating dogs so that everybody takes some practical skills away from the course.
The Workshop will therefore only be suitable for 'teacher dogs', who will be happy to spend time in the hall working with people and time in the car or an indoor kennel to rest, without becoming unduly stressed, reactive or proactively aggressive towards other dogs or people. You do not have to bring a dog to these workshop to participate fully. If you have a question or are unsure whether to bring your dog or not please contact Toni on 0118 9413270 to dicusss.
Price includes refreshments but not lunch so please bring a packed lunch.
For workshops in other areas of the country please see www.ttouchtteam.co.uk
